One Crazy Stamper - Christmas Emma

Wow!! I cannot believe our first month at One Crazy Stamper Challenge/DT blog is coming to an end!! You still have time to get in on this months challenge of Christmas/Winter and to enter to win the blog candy.

Here's my last bit of inspiration for this month's challenge:

That of course is precious "Christmas Emma" by the very talented Christine Wooden of CC Designs. Since we are over Christmas let's just pretend Emma has decided to take her decorations down before the New Year.. shall we?? lol.

I used my brand new Nestablities on my American Crafts textured cardstock. I added some glitter to the edge of the image panel just to give it a little bit of glitz.

I cut out the inside of the wreath with my X-acto Knife and added the sentiment from behind.

She was colored with Copics and here's a list:

Skin: E000, E00, E02, R20

Hair: Y11, Y21, YR21, YR24

Dress, Shoes and Hairband: RV25, RV23, RV21

Wreath: G28, G17, G06, R39, R27, R24

Since I colored with Copics I used my Memento Tuxedo Black ink pad. It is the only ink I would recommend using with your Copics. It will not smear and it will not ruin your markers.

One Last Christmas Card

 I saved the best for last!! I couldn't post this til the special person it was created for let me know she got it!! Now that I know she did I just had to share this!! I bought this stamp especially for my friend, Brenda. We share a passion for coffee :D

I swore last night that I was not getting on the 'puter for the next two days but I woke up at like 5am and couldn't go back to sleep!!

Hubby just poked his head in and said it's snowing! He's so happy!!

Word Art - I make all of my word art in Digital Scrapbook Artist 2. There is a free version available here. If you are not familiar with this program it is amazing!! I own the full version but really the only parts I use are all of the stuff that is available in the free download.  It makes it so easy to manipulate, layer, text to curves and shapes, etc!! Love it!! Plus it has all kinds of free elements like backgrounds (papers!) and embellishments. You really need to try it!!! Make sure if you do get it to download all of the free digi kits... you will love them!!

Digi Doodle Shop Best Challenge DDSB#39

We have an "Anything Goes" challenge for you this week at Digi Doodle Shop's Best. I truly enjoy visiting blogs and commenting on entries. I am so inspired by everyone!! Sometimes it could be a punch you use that I don't own, or a color scheme, stamp, and the list goes on and on!!

You've seen this image before from some of the other DT members but I just love it and had to put my own spin on it : )

Fitting image for this week wouldn't you say? And it is truly from the heart. I do wish all of you a very Merry Christmas!!

I added Glossy Accents to the windows to give them the feel of real leaded glass panels. The stitching was done with embroidery floss and then I glued on some red glass seed beads.

The greenery was punched with my Martha Stewart punch.

One Crazy Stamper - Christmas Trevor

Isn't this paper fantastic?? It's Cabbage Patch Spring Green from Kaiser Crafts. I added dabs and smears of acrylic paint to grunge it up a bit.
Little Trevor was stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and colored with Copics. He is sitting in a circle Nestie that I distressed with three different shades of Tim Holtz Distress Ink from Ranger.

A Happy Dance

I made this for a friend who just got a new job after a long search. I also thought it was apt to show off some of the great images at  Squigglefly !! My first DT card isn't due until the middle of January and I just couldn't wait that long!! (and I didn't have this ready for my morning post)

I am sure a lot of you recognize her as being one of Sassy Cheryls aka Cheryl Alger. She is one of the many artist you will find at Squigglefly.  You can search by artist or occasion.  One of the other great services they offer is retrieval of past purchases. In these days of computer virus attacks that comes in handy!!

Paper Doll Mini Album

This is what I've been up to for the last week.  It was a really fun project. As the title says, it's a Paper Doll Mini Album.  I didn't take a lot of still shots but I did make a video. Geesh...  getting it filmed and uploaded has been a pain!! I am still really new at shooting videos.  Thanks to Tracy (thanks Lady!!) I switched to my digital camera to finish the filming. The quality is much better but the sound is better on my web cam.
You'll see what I mean.. lol.

One other tip for those magnetic vent covers. I mount these right on the wall in front of my work station to store my Spellbinders. It is by far my very favorite craftroom tip I've ever heard!!

DDSB "New Beginnings"

We have a wonderful New Years Challenge for you at Digi Doodle Shop's Best, it's "New Beginnings". That could be interpreted in many ways.. a new marriage, a new baby, a new job, a new car. Life offers us all so many new beginnings and what's more precious than new life!!

I have a 15 month old grandson so this image just demanded to be inked. It also made me and my husband very nostaligic as one of our sons used to do this exact thing with my husbands cowboy boots, although I do believe he was dressed..lol.

You know that quote "There's no mistakes in cardmaking" ? Whoever said that is a big fat liar.. or maybe we should actually say there are a ton of "do overs". (I can smile about it now) I spent an inordinate amount of time laying out the fontage above the belt. I got the photo all edited, watermark added, uploaded to our DT group, started my post and it wasn't until I typed the word "Sheriff" that I realized I had misspelled it (had two r's)!! But, like I said.. I can smile about it now, well almost!

The papers were a "texture" package download that I found on DevianArt for free. I don't have a link but I am sure if you are looking for something similar just google wood texture free images. The font I used is called Bikerbones and you can download it for free here. For the belt buckle I glued regular Reynolds Wrap to white cardstock. I used my squeegee (spelling?) from my Cricut tool kit to smooth out all the bubbles and let it dry really good. Then I just cut the shape with one of my Cuttlebug dies.

Digi Doodle Shop Best Challenge DDSB#37

Our theme this week at Digi Doodle Shop's Best Challenge is "Animals".  I've been wanting to ink this Swan image for a bit now for a couple of reasons, mainly to color the water.

I created the background by inking my BG stamp with three different colors of ink. The center panel was cut out with a circle nestie and a smaller version cut out of the Bazzill textured cardstock. Those layers were pop dotted over the swans.

I saved the circles from the front panels for the inside of the card. I thought the serenity of this scene lends itself well to a sympathy card. Thank God I have no use for one at the moment but it will be nice to have one on hand.
