Great Things Come in.....

itsty, bitsy packages.. lol! Our challenge this week for you at Squigglefly is "Making the Round" and wow.... did I have fun with this!!
It's one of those multi pics and still needs an explanation..lol!
This is literally only about 1 1/2" in diameter and it's my husbands Valentines "Card". Every Christmas season he comes home with bags of the battery operated Votives for multiple decorations. So I decided to use one of them and make him a little cake with a hidden compartment underneath. (warning.. it wasn't easy to fit it all in the frame, so not the best pics.. but I tried!!)

My original intention was to make borders behind each monogram but I figured it would make the cake have to be much higher since it would double the thickness. I also thought hey.. .if Tim Holtz can get away with just stapling ...why not? My hubby sure won't mind!
I created each letter with the brand new fun alphabet set and frames at Squigglefly by artist Chesney Young. They are so cool and were so much fun to play with!! There are like 20 different frames in the set and if you notice, I just used one of the frames for the "O".
I created the "frosting" on top with DecoArt SnowWriter and sprinkled with GlamourDust and Micro beads.
Ok.. so now you have to head over to the store and to the challenge blog.. Ready.. Set... GO!!!

Hugs~
