Gone Fishing!!

Well, that's what my  husbands birthday card said! He's always been a sportsmen but these last three years or so he has really gotten into fishing. He's even been entering and placing in a few tournaments! So here is his card:

Got to tell you a cute little story about that sentiment. Half way through the day he finally told me that he spent the first few minutes looking at it and thinking "Go me fishing?" LMBO!! I used a ransom note font and til he said that I hadn't noticed that it does kind of look like Go me...!
Oh well.. I bet from now on when he leaves on a fishing trip it will be our little catch phrase!
I was so grateful for everyones response to my blog candy question about posting in both mediums. I did play with this image in both and here they are side by side.

I have a lot of prescheduled posts coming up that don't have both versions but I am going to try to start doing this. It is a great challenge for myself. I love both mediums so much and it is sooooo relaxing to color!! I
Here's the colors I used for the Copic image.. which by the way is from Mo Manning.
I don't have my lists for my Prismas. I couldn't keep my grandson from running off with them. That's the price of not hiding out in my craft cave but who can do that when you've got a grandbaby in the house??

Hugs~

Very cool, Dana! Don't know how you are finding the time to do this, but it sure is beautiful to see your cards colored in the two mediums! I have trouble picking one over the other~think they are both fabulous.

I love your card. Love the added ticket. I saw Gone Fishing, but I think we see the world in different fonts!! LOL I love when little things like that turn into forever phrases, sounds again like us!!
I love the manly distressed feeling of this card as well..And a Happy Birthday to your husband.
I think they are both colored fabulously. Go check out my attempt at both mediums!! :)

oh, wow, Dana! I just love the coloring of this image... both ways. but if it was me, I would co for the prismas. it has a special softness to it. but I agree, the copics colored one looks great on this card. lovely work.

Great card. I love that vintage-y tag. I didn't notice the sentiment break until I read your story. Too funny. And this is how private jokes between couples happen! My hubby and I had so many. In fact, a private joke is how it came to be that we called our cats "gorillas."!

I LOVE your card! The Go Me story is funny, I gave it a second look as well but knew it said gone. That can be your little "thing" between you now! hehe I really like the way both images are colored but the prism one is alot clearer and show more details!! tfs both again. I have a limited amount of prisms and I have decided to try them on my next image because of you.
