A Mucha Mocha Morning

I am greatly inspired by Mucha, even when I was making jewelry. His art deco motifs are magnificent. Lately I've been fascinated by his lines. Thick and thin, outline, suggested... I could gaze arround one of his illustrations for hours.
The title is a play on my daughter's love for her current obssesion, Peppermint Mocha creamer in her coffee. There's many great things about having my daughter and grandson living with us but I think morning coffee is one of the best =0)

I'm going to try to play in Gritty Jane's 40 Portraits challenge as much as I can. If you want to participate or read more you can check that out here

I'm not sad, REALLY!!

My hubs freaks out every time he sees me doing a sad face. Which is a pretty good thing I guess, that he actually cares! This is from my art journal (aka "my big girl coloring book").  Just plain old cardstock 8.5"x 5.5"
I just wanted to play with the drippy eyes thing.
Products used:
Prismacolor pencils
Pitt Pens

Thanks for taking a look. It sure felt good to be back in my art room =0)
Don't forget to check out Soul Food! Still plenty of time to get in on the fun.
