Valentines Day Challenge at Squigglefly

We have a good old fashioned Valentines Day challenge for you this week at Squigglefly. Show us your red, sparkles and a heart cards. For a twist Chelsea threw in a Sketch to follow also:

I totally flipped the sketch to fit my image, which is ok.. just as long as we can still see the sketch in there somewhere.
Here's what I came up with:

That image is called 3 Little Cupcakes by Laura Campbell. You may not know this, but Laura is donating 100% of her Squigglefly profits directly to The Theological Biblical Academy, or TBA, which trains church leaders in Croatia, and other former Yugoslav states, to study and preach God's Word. TBA, a church-based ministry, has graduated men
and women who are now serving churches in Croatia, Slovenia and Bosnia. Pretty cool, huh?
Here's a close up shot:

So, put your thinking caps on and let's see what you come up with! Then head on over to our challenge.

The Outlawz Girlz "Anything Goes"

Yep.. my favorite kind of challenge!! It's Anything Goes at The Outlawz Copic challenge today. I'll keep it short and sweet today and just share a bunch of pics. So here you go:
Ok, one brief explanation.. lol. Tilda is popped up with a couple of layers, one of them was her velum wings. Here's those:

Ok.. forget about it!! You know I've got to talk.. lol. So one last thing.. I love those new "fibers" I picked up at Michaels. It is stretchy sock yarn and I just LOVE it!! I only saw it in the blue, tan, black mix and another one in black, grays and white. I picked up both but I will be on the look out for it in every color. I think I like it even better than bakers twine!
That's all for now other than a gentle nudge to gallop on over and join the challenge!

The Outlawz Girlz "Love"

This week our challenge at The Outlawz  Prisma's and Other Media is "Love". How easy is that this time of year? You can use any media you would like other than Copics (Copics has it very own challenge every week). I have been brushing up on my colored pencil skills so I went with that again this week. Next week I'll have a different technique, but ssshhh, it's a secret.
Ok, I know I've already shown this stamp recently but the other was colored with Copics. This is "Violet with Key" from CC Designs:
Is it too much?? Just like decorating your walls, there's a fine line between interesting and just a bunch of clutter.. lol. I figure since I can still see the backgroud dp I'm ok. Oh well.. I like it : )
Here's a few close ups:

I had a lot of fun making that dictionary collage. I just cut and tore out some different ones.  I made that clock face by gluing it to the bottom of a clear flat marble with Glossy Accents.
I sure hope this will "Inspire" you to dig out some of those long neglected products and gallop on over to show us what you've got!!

DDSB Anything Goes

Woo Hoo!! It's another fun challenge at Digi Doodle Shop's Best. Our challenge for you this week is "Swirls"... ooohh.. what fun!!
So if you saw my Paper Doll Mini Photo Album you will see I've been in a sort of nostalgic mood lately.
Here's what I mean about the nostalgia:
I wanted it to look like a glimpse into her bedroom so I left it rather simple other than those photo corners and the picture frames hanging on the wall. I paper pieced the table cloth.
Here's a shot of the easle:

Can you read the sentiment? It says "Friendship isn't a big thing. It's a million little things".
The image is called "Tea Party". Follow that link to Digi Doodle Shop. It was colored with Copics but I'm sorry, I've lost my list.

To join our challenges you don’t have to use a Digi Doodle Shop image, but if you do use one, your entry will count twice. You are also allowed to enter our challenge as many times as you like, as long as you enter with a new card/craft.

The Outlawz Girlz and a Video Tutorial

It's a new challenge this week at The Outlawz for the Prisma's and Other Mediums Group! This week we have an "Anything Goes" so hop over and show us any project using any medium other than Copics (we have a challenge specifically for Copics only that runs on Fridays).
I am really trying to not do the same things week after week so this time I colored my image with Distress Inks and watercolor pencils for shading.
 And here's the video.

DDSB Anything Goes

It's another great "Anything Goes" challenge for us over at Digi Doodle Shop's Best. I am sharing  one of my  favorite images from Digi Doodle Shop.  You've seen her before by other members of our DT but some images just scream to me. This one definately did!!

We would love to see what you create!!

Just a quick personal note...

Hi all!! As you read this we are travelling to be with my daughter, SIL and our grandson, Joshua. Here he is on his first birthday.. the before shot : )
And the after shot:
What a great memory!! He is 17 months old now and will be undergoing major heart surgery on Jan 19th. I'm not going to go into all of the details, let's just say that I would really appreciate everyones prayers.
I didn't want to drop off from commenting, blog hopping, etc. without any explanation. I have pre-scheduled posts out the ying-yang for the next few weeks that have been written over the last month. So please, do not think I am cold hearted to be able to go on in the midst of this personal crisis.  It is truly being able to craft and blog that has helped me to keep my sanity over these last few months knowing this was lurking on the horizon.
Thanks everyone!! You truly make blogging a joy and I've never found a more caring, loving community anywhere!
Love ya's!!

The Outlawz Girlz "Prisma's and Petals"

Today's another launch of a brand new challenge at The Outlawz. We have a different challenge every day of the week with everything (and I mean EVERYTHING) from Scrapbooking to Copics.
Today's challenge is for our Prisma and Other Mediums and the theme is "Prisma and Petals". Absolutely any project is fine as long as it includes Prismas (or colored pencils) and Petals of some sort either in the image or added as an embellishment.
Here's what I came up with:
This is the very first time I've used my recently purchased background images from Make it Crafty.  It was really fun to actually color and entire card.
Here's some close up shots:

So won't you head over and join me?
